Montana Department of Justice: Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (Public service, 500-1000 employees)

The Montana Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) is enhancing the criminal justice system’s response to sexual assault and ensuring justice for victims.

Through the SAKI e-learning project, we are creating interactive best practices solutions, which will reside online and will be used by law enforcement agencies and medical professionals throughout Montana.

Montana recognized that in order to create sustainable practices, there is a need for an online training presence. Online training eliminates barriers, such as agency funding, rural area challenges, and scheduling conflicts for law enforcement officers and medical professionals. Modjul’s work on these courses has become a vital SAKI grant objective to create procedures for sexual assault kit practices.

It is inspiring for me to be a part of these efforts, and I am looking for more opportunities to share my knowledge and skills to make a difference.
