I’ve spent the majority of the last 12 years either building WordPress websites myself, or managing a variety of projects in the tech sector - many of those being web builds.
As part of that, I’ve managed teams of remote designers, coders, and all sorts of freelance professionals, and put together standard operating procedures - all the while delivering successfully, on time and budget.
As I’ve such a vast experience of actually building sites myself, I’m quick to solve problems - and when it comes to WordPress, I often have the answers to any problems which may arise. I’m part of expert WordPress communities who are among the best developers around.
As a project manager, you have to realise that you’re responsible for delivering a successful outcome - which means that having confidence in my ability to make sure nothing gets in the way of that is my priority.
Two primary strengths -
My first is definitely my ability to think my way through problems. It’s a fact of life that problems arise - some minor, some seemingly major.
I think you’ll find that I’m clear headed enough to find my way through problems - sometimes through sheer determination, but sometimes by stopping, working my way backwards, and finding a completely different way of working - which not only gets the job done - but often future proofs a project, as opposed to just getting away with some kind of temporary solution. Quality is massively important.
I’d say my second main strength is that I’m so adaptable. I can work fantastically as a right hand man, but as soon as it’s needed, I’m taking the lead - I don’t sit around waiting for orders - I’ll use my initiative. I don’t do that lightly - I take that very seriously. I can be client facing, or literally sit in a room for weeks alone, working to get a project done.
Being adaptable is so much more interesting for me, so that’s why I excel and revel in operating that way - it’s just an extension of my personality.
