Mainframe Developer

Around 15+ years of excellent on-shore and off-shore model of Software Development, Enhancement, Maintenance, Migration, Production Support & Testing experience of IBM Mainframe applications using core software like COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, IMS DB/DC, TELON, MQ Series as well as different project specific tools & utilities under MVS/ESA, z/OS platform of IBM Mainframe environment. Good understanding of SDLC(Waterfall & Agile) & STLC (V model).

• Having around 15+ years of excellent on-shore and off-shore model of Software Development, Enhancement, Maintenance, Migration, Production Support, Testing & Defect resolution of applications in IBM Mainframe environment.
• Experience in requirements gathering, client management, team building/ mentoring, stakeholder management.
• Experience in project/delivery management activities including project scoping, estimation, risk management, resource administration and quality management.
• Implemented and demonstrated successfully end-to-end project management and ensuring effective management of various resources to meet project specifications & client SLA.
• Extensive technical knowledge and experience in the End-to-End testing, Quality Assurance, Incident & Change management.
• Involved in Test Planning and Test Designing. Executing Test Cases based on Business Requirements and FS. Preparation of RT Matrix. Defect Triage Call, Bug Reporting and follow up till defect closure.
• Good practical experience in Manual Testing and involved in Functional/Smoke/ Regression/ Integration/System/GUI/User Acceptance testing.
• Involved in Migration projects which include IMS DB to DB2 and Legacy System to MRE Environment(Microfocus & GUI based) and DB2 stored procedures
• Significant experience of working with customers, project managers and technical teams for executing concurrent projects.
• Handled medium size team with head count of 14.

SKILLS: COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, JCL & IMS DB/DC.
