My name is Anthony and I am an engineer and who enjoys finding the passion of building something great in unique and exciting ways.
I did not arrive in this field through typical means, and I believe this gives my work a fresh perspective. I hold a Master's degree in Music, and being a classical musician gives me a sense of creative drive, and helps remind me to remain passionate of my chosen craft. For the last few years my passion has shifted to the rapidly changing landscape that is technology and how we can use it to bring joy and meaning to those who need it. But those creative and pedagogic muscles still come in handy.
As a Director of Engineering, I work on solving the greatest problem of them all: How to delliver software by building a great team. Given the growing scale and scope of the work i've been a part of, managing talented people and rallyinng behind a mission or goal is one the most difficult. and yet, rewarding challenges.
As a Senior Engineer, I have learned some invaluable experience about how to leverage technology stacks (AWS, MEAN, QT), work in rapidly shifting teams, lead a team to product delivery, work with different programming languages (JS, C++) and hardware and help use them to further our mission. As a team lead, I believe in using the shared vision of the Engineers and our customers to drive a project, or product from conception to fully realized feature.
As a Certified Developer for AWS, I have the knowledge and expertise to create and maintain powerful applications utilizing the myriad tech stacks available. This includes areas like scalability, security and cost effective architecture using solutions like DynamoDB, Kinesis, RDS and Lambda.
