The Solution Excellence project is aimed at improving the engineering
standards, tools, and practices used across BT. This is an umbrella
project for DevOps Tools, Agile, and Cloud Platforms which need to be
well-defined and implemented for an organization the size of BT to
grow and sustain its business.
Roles:
* DevOps Engineer:
* Planned and installed all the DevOps Tools on the On-Premises
Environment and later on Kubernetes Cluster in Dev, Prod, and on
the AWS environment
* Responsible for installing and configuring Confluent Kafka on
Linux servers using Ansible modules
* Created a stable platform for on-boarding 200+ Applications
* Planned and implemented Backup and Restore mechanism for
all the tools o Configured rules in ELK for compliance and Grafana
for tools monitoring
* Installed High Availability Kubernetes cluster and installed all the
tools in the cluster using Helm
* Migrated many open-source tools to Enterprise Version like
CloudBees , Structure 101, Overops, Sonar DC, Ansible Tower
* Created 12+ templates (Maven, Gradle, Node, Ansible Deployment,
Email Notification, SonarQube, Nexus-IQ, Nexus, etc.) using
Jenkins shared libraries for quick on-boarding of applications to
the DevOps CoE platform.
* Containerized Builds to remove dependency on building nodes.
