I am a communications professional and award-winning business writer with more than two decades of experience in writing, editing, communications research consulting and training.
I offer both technical writing and content marketing writing services. My content marketing niches include B2B tech, IT, health care, financial services (including fintech), careers and entrepreneurship and HR. I also specialize in proposal writing, having managed and coordinated the writing, editing and submission of many complex and technical RFP bid responses.
As an editor, I have edited various communications documents, ranging from training manuals to reports, to books. On the latter, I recently edited a scholarly book of risk management application case studies on the application of mental modeling, a qualitative research approach, to various organizational challenges, published by Springer in 2017.
As a research consultant, I am skilled at data collection through in-depth qualitative (telephone) research interviews with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to inform communications strategy and materials on topics related to risk and other complex issues—and have trained other researchers on this process.
While my university education includes a graduate degree in the humanities (Italian Studies), I have spent much of my career working with engineers, scientists and various other technical professionals. I’m therefore comfortable working with people from a range or disciplines and professions (cyber security experts, web developers, software engineers, technical specialists, scientists, medical professionals and business leaders). I see my humanities background and perspective as an asset in making me able to make highly technical material understandable to lay audiences—something that’s very important in the tech industry and other industries today.
