Duties: On Mathjabeng Municipal - Free State
* Control the execution of works on the site. * Manage staff on site and delegates duties to
subordinates staffs. * Prepare construction programme and achieve targets dates. * Propare site
costing and submit same to management on weekly/monthly basis. * Manage sequence of works and
timeously complete task to ensure profitability. * Ensure the site is complying to the health and
safety requirements of the consultant/client. * Ensure the quality of work produce is in line with
specifications. * Achieve quality works on budget and pre-determined cost. * Attend meetings with
the clients and consultants and defend the work * Prepare progress site reports in terms of
quantities of completed works on a weekly basis and compare with the BoQ provisions and advice
management on same. * Manage sub-contractor on site and ensure that they are doing the works
correctly. * Produce time sheet for all the plants and employee on site and submit same to
management on a weekly basis. * Compute quantity of work done on site and report to management.

Period : October 2013 to February 2014.
Position : Site Engineer
Project : Road, Sewer, Stormawater and Steel Erection

Duties:

Road construction, sewerage works, stormwater, bridge construction and steel erection.
Site management and work supervision. Quality Control planning and implementation, day to day work
activities on site, surveys,QA and QC documentation. BOQ and evaluations, progress reporting and
attending all project meetings, ensure specifications are followed and implemented. Procuremnt of
materials and stock control.

Project : Shopping Complex and Service Stations
Duties:
* Handle all road construction on driveway, bulk earthworks, paving and concrete surface.
Concrete works on forecourt construction and storm water drainage including culverts and
pavement kerbing. Shops building construction and finishes on painting, tiling, aluminum
glazing, ceiling, steel roofing, plumbing and electrical works. Mechanical works on petrol
tank installation and configuration.
* Inspection and supervision to ensure works are done according to specifications Monitor
progress of works and estimate quantities on works done including time sheets
* Daily management of all on-site activities and make sure that the project is within budget.
* Prepare work schedule and resources required for each and every activity to be executed on
site
* Itemised BOQ for works required and plan financial requirements
* Prepare financial forecast, timesheets and labour allocation for the construction team
* assess the progress of on-site work to ensure it is being performed within requirements and to
contract specification
* assisting the design team in to draw up new and alter drawing if need arise and advising
accordingly on aspect of works
* Ensure that the project is up the required standards ie Quality control
* Coordinating the design team such that all information and changes on designs are communicated
appropriately
* Day to day management of all activities on site
* Ensure that all employees are equipped with the proper PPE to perform the task which they
intent to.
* Manage and allocate subcontractor's work and prepare payment certificates for the works done.

Reason for Leaving : The contract was site based. The project was finished in July 2013 and the
client did not have new projects lined for us and the contract ended
