  • Project Description: AMDOCS Billing System (NABS):

    Message Processing System (MPS):




    This System gets corrected CDRs (Call detail Records) from
    Mediation module. There are 2 main processes involved in the system
    namely Guiding and Rating. There are set of batch jobs defined for
    these 2 main processes.

    Guiding identifies the unique Billing account number (Customer ID) in
    NABS system based on the Subscriber no (MSISDN) and IMSI values
    from CDRs. It then separates the respective cdrs of the BAN.

    Rating: After the separation of cdrs from guiding processes, rating
    calculates rate of the CDRs considering the Price plan, SOC and
    features and their respective charges.

    Billing:
    Billing considers the rated usage from MPS (Unbilled usage) and the
    Charges from CSM which include (Onetime charge and Recurring
    charge) and calculates the total amount and prepares different
    formats of the Bill and sends the bill to customer billing address.

    Flexible Bill Formatter (FBF):
    FBF talks about the different formats of the Bill i.e. Paper Bill, Nonpaper
    bill, EDO, XML and E-mail formats Etc.

    Customer Service Management (CSM):
    This is User interface of the NABS system. Customer creation, adding
    a subscriber, Adding Priceplans, SOCs and features.

    Accounts Receivables (A/R):
    This module deals with customer payments and direct debit
    transactions and all financial transactions.
    If the customer doesn't pay the bill on time there is set collection
    processes which are included in this Module.
    Contribution: Analysing the requirements in High Level Document
    (HLD).
    Creating Test strategy and high level test scenarios of the
    requirements.
