Optical Network Engineer

+ Reviewed and implemented optical network change projects that
involved service migration and hardware upgrade.
+ Carried out low level design for new optical service deployment
with the sales and IP network team.
+ Commissioned both remotely and onsite newly installed optical
network equipment.
+ Performed quality acceptance test with client before handing over of
newly deployed nodes and links.
+ Implemented yearly network audit with the support of the research
and development team to ensure network assurance and pro-actively
advise client.

Achievements:
* Part of the technical support team that successfully deployed a
national backbone and metro optical network for a major telecom
operator (9mobile Nigeria).
* Successfully provided technical support with the help of Huawei
research and development team in upgrading 9mobile Nigeria
traditional DWDM network to ASON.

+ Carried out onsite hardware maintenance of transmission nodes
(microwave and optical).
+ Provided first level support for troubleshooting of transmission link
failures and alarms.

+ Carried out Automated Teller Machine (ATM) hardware and
software maintenance.
+ Provided first level support for troubleshooting the ATM access link
(microwave or satellite).
