Project Description:
Implementation of SAP WS1 (Würth system one which is a ‘customized version of SAP’ to cater to Würth specific business processes in ERP) system comprising of modules such as SD, MM, WM, FI, Data migration, BI by replacement of legacy system named Hercules so that business operations function effectively and can be easily tracked by Würth German management. SAP component version used is EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0.
Studied about Würth business at Adolf Würth Gmbh in Germany which is the parent company of Würth group which carries out extensive operations in terms of sales, procurement, warehousing and finance. This was helpful during requirement gathering at the client side.
Responsible for implementation of MM module which included the following:
  • Creation of Standard purchasing organization along with its assignment to company code
  • Creation of Storage location, plants (central and regional locations), purchasing areas, MRP and purchasing groups
  • Configuration of Purchasing document types for stock transfer, service purchase, internal consumption with number range assignment
  • Message output type determination.
  • Order acknowledgement for WM and IM plants
  • Configuration of Release strategy in purchase order based on order amount approval.
  • Setup plant parameters for MRP process based on conversion of purchase requisitions to purchase orders. Planned orders, individual requirements not involved. Also setup SOBSL (special procurement indicator) to plan for stock availability in case of Stock transfers.
  • Configuration of Import, local pricing procedure and stock transfer procedure (inclusive of applicable entry tax material and state wise). Also creation of freight costs condition type.
  • Setup payment terms for vendors, partner determination, sub range.
  • Configuration of purchasing value keys.
  • Material master data update using MM17.
  • Update conditions in mass for commodity codes (i.e. combination of duty rates and vendor in different import condition types). This is a Würth developed program for payment postings to commissioner of customs vendor.
  • End-user training on purchasing process, Inventory managed transfer postings, invoice verification and purchase reports (stock, purchase register etc)
  • On-site support at Central Plant for 2 weeks after Go-live.
