Fantastic opportunity for a DevOps Developer (Python) to embark on an initial 6 month contract with my renown public sector client, based at their prestigious Exeter based headquarters.
This role will be sat within my clients Broadcast Graphics DevOps team, where they develop, configure and support the broadcast graphics software used my client and their media customers, such as ITV. This is a DevOps role with an emphasis on development but the successful candidate may also be configuring and supporting the software. The primary purpose of the role will be to develop GUI based and Back End software in Python.
If successful you will be responsible for the complete software life cycle all the way from design to release. In order to do so you will need to gain a thorough understanding of the software and engage with their Media community to gather requirements. You will be responsible for developing new software capabilities to expand the service and provide support to broadcasters and technical support staff.
To be successful you must be able to demonstrate previous experience of programming in Python and bash Scripting, good coding experience with an enthusiasm for customer support. You will also possess a qualification in computer science, computing or another numerate subject, or experience in a software development or support role.
