Description
DevOps Engineer with expertise in CI/CD, Puppet or Ansible, Infrastructure-as-Code and Python sought by a major international client in The Hague.
You are passionate about automating everything and you take ownership. In our team you will be responsible for developing automation/orchestration within the public AWS cloud environment with other inspirators and techies. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining the CI/CD toolset that is utilized across the business globally.
The challenge
- Work with a team of ten DevOps Engineers to realize the ultimate solution for infrastructure and network configuration/automation and deployment for AWS
- Contribute to build and deploy automation support (CI/CD) in AWS
- Develop infrastructure as code and testable infrastructure in AWS
- Develop appropriate metrics to demonstrate performance and operational efficiency by also thinking on how to script and automate better (value) chain monitoring and (chain) testing
- Driving analysis, design and development of automation tools for configuration, provisioning, deployment, development, and operational tasks
- Design automated systems management solutions with self-repair/healing as the goal
- Focus on reducing technical lead-time for infra and network for all DevOps teams
- Provide huge positive customer impact by reducing downtime and costs
The knowledge you can bring to the team:
- Bachelors or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
- Hands-on Experience using configuration management software like Puppet and Ansible
- Hands-on Experience working on infrastructure as code (JSON templates) and creating IAC scripts using Terraform and Cloud Formation Templates
- Experience with CI tools such as Bamboo and Jenkins
- Experience with Scripting tools (Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with Build Tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle.
- Good understanding of build pipeline, packaging, and artifact management.
- Strong automation background working with the CI/CD tool chain comprising of JIRA, Github, Jenkins, Bamboo, Confluence, Packer, CloudFormation, Terraform, Docker, SonarQube
- Proficient level in programming and Scripting languages such as Python and/or Ruby
- Extensive experience working with Linux and Windows in an enterprise production environment.
- Have containerized the deployments through docker containers and orchestrated through Kubernetes
- Expertise in AWS, Linux, Windows and Databases
- Understanding of traditional and cloud networking concepts
- Understanding of monitoring and logging concepts
