Welding Engineer

Description

I am currently working with a World Class Engineering company
based in the North East providing products and services to meet the
needs of their customers engineering needs and specifications.

They have recently secured a multi million pound contract.

The company specialise in :

- Fabrications
- Nuclear
- Thermal

They are recruiting for a WELDING ENGINEER on a PERMANENT basis:

Duties will include -

• Qualification of welding procedures, welders and welding operators
• Provide welding methodology for new applications
• Development, implementation and review of weld procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR) to standards (including, but not limited to): ISO BS EN15614 and ASME 1X, including welder qualifications and certifications
• Qualify and maintain welders to required standards
• Selection, suitability and control of materials and welding consumables
• Monitor, maintain and improve relevant KPI's and report results
• Complete welding system audits (internally and externally) to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
• Facilitate team to ensure continuous improvement
• Prepares reports and memos as required
• Must have Nuclear Experience (or oil and gas)

Experience with welding inspection to CSWIP

IWW, EWE - Or working towards

Develop and implementation and review of weld procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR)
