Role: Commercial Business Partner
Location: Porton Down
Duration: 12+ Months Initially with possible extension
Essential Experience:
- Ensure Research Contracts for work placed externally with Industry, Academia etc. (Extra Mural Research or EMR) is delivered as required by and according to the priorities set by the Division partnered by the CBP ensuring delivery of The Division Contract to Time, Cost and Quality.
- Acts as a key partner to the Division Management Team providing strategic advice and guidance on procurement(s).
- Contribute to and influences the short term delivery and long term planning activities of the Division.
- Provides appropriate commercial information and advice (forecasts, resourcing plan and other Management Information) to enable appropriate Division decision making.
- To work closely with Divisional Procurement Representative(s) to develop best practice for the efficient and effective fulfilment of EMR requirements
- Improve Division commercial awareness through day to day interaction and identification of training needs.

- Ability to prove and demonstrate previous strong/successful Account/Stakeholder Management experience.
- Evidence of Procurement/Commercial experience preferably within a Dstl, MoD or Public Sector setting. Ideally CIPS qualified.
- Ability to evidence/demonstrate strong communication skills (verbal and written) and problem solving abilities.
- Good to excellent IT skills (especially Excel).
