A leading services organisation is looking for a Group Financial Accountant to sit within the group finance function and play a critical role within a business that has experienced a significant growth journey in recent months.
As the Group Financial Accountant, you will have the opportunity to build up experience within a FTSE-250 business and partner significantly with high calibre stakeholders. As you establish yourself as a critical part of the Group consolidation team, there will be an opportunity to develop within the business, which could well lead to longer-term career opportunities.
Roles and responsibilities:-
- Partnering with stakeholders on technical accounting issues and substantiating external plc reporting and half-year reporting.
- Supporting different business units on accounting under IFRS.
- Monthly reporting and supporting stakeholders with consolidation control.
- Ownership of the monthly group report which will be distributed to the CFO
Personal and professional competencies:-
- A newly qualified CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA (ideally Big 4 trained).
- HFM/consolidation package knowledge.
- An excellent communicator with both orally and written capability.
- The ability to work in a team and autonomously.
- The ability to apply technical knowledge in order to make practical decisions.
- A resilient and hardworking individual with a hands-on approach.
