My client, a retail organisation based in the North West are currently recruiting an experienced Buyer and Commercial Manager to help drive forward Commercial changes to their suppliers relating specifically to offers and promotions. The Senior Buyer Manager or Commercial Manager will be required to cement buying changes made by the commercial to their suppliers and help hold suppliers accountable.

The successful buying manager will ideally have experience working in a Buyer arena, for a large retailer and be comfortable going through a period of change. Further more, if a consultant has experience in enforcing changes to suppliers, specifically associated with how items are purchased for promotions and offers.

The Senior Buyer Manager will be required to report into a Senior Transformation Lead and help enforce these commercial changes with suppliers.

Skills and Experience Required:

- Extensive Senior Buyer and Commercial Buying experience
- Experience of working within a Food Retail Environment
- Experience working with a variety of suppliers, ideally within Food/Fresh Goods
- Ideally have a background in going through a period of change to commercial and buying processes. Understanding how to help suppliers go through those changes also
- Ability to lead small teams and conduct negotiation meetings with suppliers

Day Rate: £500 - £600 pd
Contract Length: Initial 6 months
Location: North West

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Buying consultant that has experience working for a Food Retail client. The role will likely go on for at least 12 months but initially a 6 month contract.
