Description
Harvey Nash's Public Sector client requires an Internal Auditor to join their team on an initial 5 month contract. You will have the option to be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, a large amount of the work with involve travelling to local authority sites across the Central Belt.
You will be tasked with the completion of controls testing in line with Public Sector Internal Audit Standards, The Scottish Public Finance Manual, and the Internal Audit Charter.
You will be required to offer assurance that the systems in place are compliant with required standards, are financially accurate, adhere to the overall project objectives and have a full transparent audit trail.
Essential Skills:
. Must be an experience Internal Auditor (or professional equivalent)
. Knowledge and experience of Scottish Public Sector Frameworks
. Excellent skills in Excel
. People Management skills
. Skilled in improving performance
. Financial Management abilities
. Skilled in using evidence to analyse information
. Communications and Engagement skills
. Compliance background
. Strong IT knowledge
