Harvey Nash's client in The Scottish Highlands (Thurso) requires a Community Development Manager to join them on a 3 month contract starting ASAP.

You will be joining an existing team, bringing your ideas to create an action plan for community engagement and to generate sustainable economic growth in the local region.

Key duties will include account management of a number of local communities requiring attention, and working with digital teams to develop plans and generate ideas. You will ensure appropriate compliance with all aspects of governance, including risk management.

Essential Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have extensive local community knowledge, come from a background in Public Sector and have previous work with multi-agency/partner projects.

. Experience with Project Appraisal and Management
. Public Sector experience - skilled in dealing with high level public and private sector partners
. Strong knowledge in the principles of social enterprise and social impact measurement
. Degree Educated in relevant field
. Experience of working in a highly governed environment, with high levels of accountability
. Strong skills in detailed financial analysis - understanding/interpretation of business finance and accounting
. Experience of supporting community growth activity

Working hours will usually be within 9-5, but a degree of flexibility is required for this role. You must have a valid driving license and be willing to travel across the Highlands when necessary, including out of office hours if required.
