Description

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to cover a 12 month maternity contract for our established client who is the no.1 multi distributor in the UK within their industry.

The Finance Assistant will be accountable for the accurate and timely input of data to the company's purchase ledger and to liaise with suppliers and customers over payment and account queries, whilst company confidentiality must be kept along with Data Protection requirements. Not only will the successful candidate deal with external customers but also internal employees prompting responses and also customer queries.

Key duties/experience:

  • Meeting deadlines with a finance department.
  • Working within a busy department.
  • Controlling costs.
  • Sales & nominal ledger work.
  • Reconciliations.
  • Production of creditor information.
  • Ensure payment terms and discounts are obtained.
  • Adhoc duties as required

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Experience of SAGE 2000.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Organised & self-motivated.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines.
