Control Room Administrator - Utilities - Immediate Start - 6 month contract - Sheffield

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the gas & water sector of a leading construction and utilities company, for an administrator, based in the Sheffield area, and for an initial 6-month period.

The Role:

This is an exciting role within one of the nation's largest providers of infrastructure services, where you will have responsibility to provide an efficient administrative function to help support a large team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all communications from operations
  • Provide timely and true status updates into WMS
  • Manage the Task process (creation, release, aborting, suspension)
  • Liaise with the NRSWA and Planning Departments within the central support unit and contracts
  • Accurately record details for statutory compliance
  • Liaise with operations
  • Monitor data within WMS and provide robust reports as required

Interacts with:

  • Direct team members
  • Client representatives
  • Third party providers (sub contractors)
  • Local authorities

Essential Requirements:

  • IT skills (Word/Excel)
  • Experience of dealing with a high volume of telephone queries
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a high work load
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
