Project Accountant
Six month initial, £200-£260 per day, Bristol based
Our financial services client is looking for a Project Accountant to join their team supporting projects in the finance department around month to month project financials. Good opportunity for a potentially long term role.
You will be responsible for supporting Project Managers and the PMO around analysis of financial project data, providing analysis and reporting on a weekly/monthly basis. This will involve assisting in the compilation of project financials and forcasting templates, ensuring that month end activity is accurately calculated and raising any discrepancies. You will also review the month end ledgers, analysis of expendature, month end variations, assisting with quarterly forcasting and completion of ad-hoc transactional queries.
In order to carry out this role you should have a background of accounting within a project environment and exposure to the activities listed above which you will be required to complete. You should also be a good communicator and have the ability to work both independently as needed plus part of a team. Good attention to detail essential.
