Construction Financial Analyst

National Facilities Services (NFS) manages the design, construction and maintenance of a significant portfolio of large and small scale projects/buildings.
-
The primary responsibility for this position is to authenticate/verify invoicing and other financial data.
-
The ability to coordinate and collaborate efforts between the Project Team, General Contractor (subcontractors), and Project Finance Team to manage and process invoices associated with large Capital Projects is an essential requirement of this position.

This position will provide support primarily for the Northwest NFS region, but will be physically located in SCAL with the Woodland Hills Service Delivery Team.
Top Responsibilities:

Ensure that Consultant invoices conform to established policies and procedures. Communicate issues with consultants so that errors or corrections are made in timely manner.

Ensure that Pay Applications conform to established policies and procedures. Communicate issues with consultants so that errors or corrections are made in timely manner.

Ensure subcontractors and consultants' invoices are paid within their contracted time periods.

Work with accounts payable to ensure payment is made to consultants and contractors.

Support Project Managers in preparing capital project data and other items as requested.

Review contracts to ensure within established financial policies.
-
Update project tracking system as needed.

Work with property accounting to ensure proper posting of cost data.
Requirements:
-
BA in Finance or Accounting required plus 3+ years of direct relevant experience.

Construction and finance/accounting background

Federal background check req
-
Strong analytical skills
-
Computer skills including Excel, Word, pivot tables, etc.

Ability to multi-task and work within a team environment. .

Good team player

Ability to work under pressure

Flexible and self starter
