Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major public sector client in the UK. We are currently recruiting a Fixed Asset Accountant to be based in Wales - Ellipse Some travel to Nottingham and Bristol 1 or 2 times a week or fortnight for an initial period of 5 months with possible extension.

Contract Length: ASAP for 175 working days from start date
Essential
- CCAB qualified accountant (or equivalent) with 5+ years post qualification experience.
- Experience of financial accounting and producing statutory accounts, ideally under IFRS.
- Expert user of Microsoft excel, in particular database functions including tables functionality, lookups and pivot tables.
- Experience of financial accounting in a large organisation.
- Willingness and capability to work flexibly and independently.
- Willingness to travel as the job requires (likely to be several times a month).
Desirable
- Experience of fixed asset accounting in a complex, multi-site public sector organisation (Fixed Asset Accountant).
- Experience of product costing in a complex service delivery organisation.
- Experience of working with SAP.
