Location: Nottingham; Based some travel to Swansea and Bristol 1 or 2 times a week or fortnight (There will be expenses for travel please discuss at interview)

Job Description:
The Financial Control manager is responsible for ensuring the correct and timely payment to suppliers to meet the Secretary of State targets for prompt payment. The post covers the management and function of the Purchase to Pay (P2P) and Travel & Subsistence (T&S) team based in Nottingham for Driver-side activities. The role involves responsibility for providing advice on the P2P and Travel & Subsistence (T&S) systems to staff within the Agency and managing staff. The post holder prepares yearly PAYE Settlement Agreement report for client
Main duties include:
P2P
- Ensure payment of 80% of invoices within 5 working days, 90% within 10 working days and 98% within 30 days
- Picking up issues (SSa) have been unable to resolve
- SAP contracts set up
- Ensure that the journals are completed in time
- Review the monthly reconciliations
- Monthly reconciliations of GL Standing Imprest MiscellaneousT&S advances suspense
- Produce the Monthly Prompt Payment report
T&S
- Audit function - ensure SSa compliance checks are conducted in time
- Recovery of T&S advances and overpayments
- PAYE Settlement Agreement
- Complete annual tax return for PAYE settlement agreement - MC examiners & second workplace.
- New build SAP
- Assist in the transition of financial systems, procedures and information onto the new build SAP
- Provide support to the Shared Services Project Team to ensure the migration encapsulates the current processes within AP and T&S.
Essential
- Working knowledge with at least 3 years experience of SAP P2P and T&E or similar finance package.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Experience of working to strict deadlines.
