Financial Controller/Finance Manager - Contract - 3 months initially - Watford.
My client, a leading academy, is looking for a Financial controller/Finance manager for an initial 3 month contract, with the possibility of an extension or a permanent role thereafter. The post holder should have the following qualifications/education: A qualified or part-qualified member of a CCAB affiliated organisation, CIMA or overseas equivalent.
Job Description:
The post holder will be responsible for:
*Supporting the financial management of the Academy by:
oLeading on the production of the Academy's financial statements, working closely with the Assistant Director of Finance (Financial Management & Academy), to ensure the Academy's financial position and performance is reported accurately and in a timely manner that enables its auditors to give an unqualified opinion.
oKeeping up to date with relevant changes, especially financial ones, within the Academy sector.
oAssisting the Assistant Director of Finance (Financial Management & Academy) in producing a budget and medium term financial plan that reflects the objectives and ambitions of the Academy whilst recognising the financial constraints within which it operates.
oSupporting the Assistant Director of Finance (Financial Management & Academy) in ensuring that the Academy operates strong and robust financial systems and controls.
oProducing regular management accounts, including an income and expenditure account and a balance sheet, that reliably and accurately state both the Academy's current and forecast financial position and performance.
oDeveloping and maintain close working relationships with the Academy's budget holders.
