The Global private defence leader are in the market for an experienced Chief Engineer to work on a Aviation Power Programme. The Chief Engineer is responsible for the Engineering technical execution of all aspects of a large scale Electrical Aircraft product development programme.
Role description:
Provides leadership in scalable, multiplatform power system architecture across a range of civil aerospace applications. Dynamic and high performing Chief Engineer with current aviation power electronics experience.
Main Duties:
Leading engineering teams in developing technical solutions across the power aviation business.
The identification of programme technical risks and formulation of risk mitigation strategies.
Technical strategic direction of the programme.
Providing programme engineering leadership for the response to all RFCs, Bids and Proposals.
To ensure the efficient delivery, on time and within budget.
Provide technical direction for proposed solutions, including optimum approaches to development, engineering, interfacing, integration and testing, documentation, supplier specifications and SOWs.
Essential Candidate Requirements:
Significant experience in the Aerospace Industry, particularly power systems.
Experienced in the design of Switch Mode Power Supplies.
Strong aerospace background and proven track record in engineering execution, managing client engagements, and have served in key technical and management leadership positions.
Proven success integrating efforts and products from major subcontractors
Financial Control Account management experience
Understanding of Earned Value Management Techniques and the application of EVMS within a Project delivery life cycle
Knowledge of information or knowledge management solutions
Experience of working with DOORS
Experienced in system modelling using MATLAB would be advantageous.
Experienced in the design of Switch Mode Power Supplies.
