Rate: £200 - £260 per day
Experience/Knowledge Required
- Recently qualified accountant ACA/ACCA
- Understanding and exposure to listed multinationals. Technology would be an advantage as would exposure to US firms and US GAAP.
- Credibility to deal with senior management, and having an ability to influence and manage change.
- Someone who isn't overly qualified, as it wouldn't be fulfilling. Qualified in the last couple of years - bit of experience.
Key Responsibilities/Tasks
My client are looking for someone to help and assist with various projects in the finance department which are based around payment gateways.
This role is a support role where the successful person will be providing support around monthly variances, tax assessments, making sure VAT returns are submitted in time. You won't be required to prepare any of this yourself.
You will be responsible for providing support to anyone in the business, so if anyone needed assistance with things like revenues for example, this would be part of your role.
The role will cover areas such as:
Accounting and Financial Controls
Example - ensure timely and accurate production of the monthly financials
Tax
Example - Assistance with the compilation and submission of annual tax and VAT returns for all group companies
Cash Management
Example - Completion and analysis of cash flow forecasts.
Business Support
Example - Profitability and expense analysis and recommendations.
