Finance Contract position

JOB DESCRIPTION

Finance Officer based in Northampton

ACCA qualified only apply

2 month contract position

Daily rate negotiable/dependant on experience

Based in a school for children so will be check to work with children

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure that the school applies the best practices and the highest standards of financial management to optimise value for money and to maximise efficiency.
Assist in the management of the accounting function ensuring its efficient operation in accordance with current procedures and financial standards.

To contribute to the provision, organisation and management of financial procedures.

To prepare detailed school budgets and forecasts which reflect and support the Academy Development Plan.
To prepare monthly management accounts along with supporting information for presentation to the Principle, Local Governing Body and Head Office.
To monitor and control expenditure in line with developed profiles, administering agreed virements between budget headings.
Plan, organise and manage workload to ensure contribution to the schools monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner.
Manage the purchase ledger to ensure invoices are paid for goods and services received in a timely and efficient manner.
Process BACS payments including purchase ledger, staff expenses etc.
Operate and manage the official school bank accounts ensuring that reconciliations are completed on a weekly basis.
