Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a technical and analytical Financial Accountant to work with a national telecoms organisation in the Thames Valley. This position will provide support and advice to the Head of Financial Reporting and a Financial Reporting Manager, and involves a degree of international accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inter company accounting for wider group companies, and raising inter company AR invoices and coding intercompany AP invoices, to ensure correct accounting for all inter company transactions.
- Ensure inter company balances are agreed monthly, and that there are no outstanding reconciliation items.
- Ensure that the GL represents the correct balance.
- Take responsibility for GRNI accounting and reporting; running and distributing monthly GRNI actual reports and agree reversal analysis.
- Participate in budgeting and treasury process.
- Calculating and accounting for FOREX on unpaid foreign currency invoices.
- Journals for GL consideration.
- Reconciliation of AP, AR and various control accounts.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Professionally qualified- ACCA/ACA/CIMA.
- Experience of group and statutory reporting.
- Knowledge and experience of inter-company transactions.
- UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience within a large organisation with a fast paced and collaborative working environment.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excel skills.
- PowerPoint knowledge.
