SAP PI Consultant - 3 Month Contract - Watford - £ per day.SAP PI Analyst, reporting to SAP Support Manager and Project Manager where required
Main responsibilities:
*Responsible for any issue in the production system raised by a user
*Responsible for handling incidents and tickets causing service disruption in the PI landscape
*Responsible for identifying message mapping errors. They are required to be highlighted and resolved with team members
*Continual monitoring of the system and take necessary actions if viewing alerts or failed messages. Undertake root cause analysis
*Responsible for processing the message if any message failed or stuck in queue
*Co-ordinate with other internal teams if issue requires multiple team involvement. For example, close collaboration between SAP PI development and Basis consultants will be required to determine the root cause of PI system performance issue
*Configure and test the message mapping between an IDOC structure and standard EDI message formats TRADACOMS, EDIFACT, EANCOM etc
Key skills and experience:
*understanding of SAP PI architecture, design and configuration
*SAP PI monitoring work centre
*knowledge of JAVA would be an advantage
*knowledge of the used adapter techniques (JMS, JDBC, FTP, etc)
*in depth knowledge of EDI messaging standards (ANSI X.12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, EANCOM etc)
