Management Accountant
Contract Role - £20.50 per hour
London
5/6 month initial contract
To support the Contract Finance Manager in the day-to-day running of the financial operation for multiple contracts in the Fleet Management business within Babcock Critical Services Ltd.
Experience of compiling P&L, BS recs, and variance analysis
Entry and compilation of month end journals including accruals and prepayments
Excel skills, incl VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF etc
Budgets and rolling forecasts
Finalist ACCA/CIMA
Key Responsibilities
- Compile contract profit and loss accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, commentary and variance analysis
- Ensure the timely entry of month end adjustments relating to, but not limited to, Revenue, Direct Costs, Overheads and intercompany transactions. Ensuring all entries are relevant, accurate and can be claimed in line with the contracts terms and conditions
- Analysis of overhead costs
- Assist with the compilation of the budgets and rolling forecasts
- Responsible for all customer invoicing and resolving customer queries to ensure invoices are paid within payment term
- Supporting the Finance Manager in producing daily, weekly and monthly dashboards that are easily communicated to non-finance colleagues
- Producing weekly Aged Debtor reports for customers and actively chasing aged debt as and when the debt falls due, via telephone and email
- Investigating shortfall/overpayment of invoices and taking appropriate actions
- Raise purchase order requests in accounting system as and when require
- Redirecting supplier queries to central services accounts payable department, whilst taking ownership of relationship with top 10 suppliers
- Assist in the resolution of supplier invoice queries and highlight any areas of concern relating to supplier invoices to central services accounts payable team
- Protect the information assets of the Company and comply with the Company's Information Assurance policies and procedures at all times
