Mandarin Speaking Admin Assistant

Work Location: Cambridge/UK

Your responsibilities will cover the following:

  • Asset management:
    • Asset management: office asset, IT server room asset, Labs asset, etc. Asset tracking, maintain, distribution in AMT system, Assign tag numbers to fixed assets.
    • Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.
    • Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
  • Office management:
    • Office property management and maintenance;
    • Purchasing and distribution of office facilities and stationeries.
    • Assisting in purchasing and supplier management;
    • Invoice processing and book keeping;
    • Asset management.
    • Organising company activities;
  • Preparing for meetings and other events;
    • Basic IT support;
    • Acting as interface to Nice office, HQ and other departments within Huawei;
    • Assisting managers and other staff with other administrative issues.
  • Purchasing and payment assistance:
    • Assisting in purchasing and supplier management;
    • Invoice processing and book keeping;
    • Asset management.
  • Other secretarial tasks:
    • Organising company activities;
    • Preparing for meetings and other events;
    • Basic IT support;
    • Acting as interface to Nice office, HQ and other departments within Huawei;
    • Assisting managers and other staff with other administrative issues.

As potential applicant, your qualification should match the following profile:

  • Right to work Eligibility in the UK. Passport and Visas will be checked as part of the recruitment process.
  • University degree in Business Administration/Law/Psychology or other relevant subject with major in Management or specialised qualification;
  • Minimum of 1 years relevant practical experience as Team Assistant;
  • Fluency in Mandarin speaking and English (written and spoken)
  • Able to interact with all levels within the company and represent the company professionally towards externals;
  • Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
  • Team spirit, openness for an international environment and Chinese business culture;
  • Hands-on and can-do attitude;
  • Well-organised and structured working style.
