Underwriting & Capital Management Consultant/London
My client, a London based insurer is looking for Underwriting & Capital Management Consultant to help develop their underwriting strategy.
The Role
* Building out the business in line with the global underwriting strategy, working on both top down objectives and opportunistic propositions.
* Undertaking research in connection with underwriting plans presented as potential opportunities
* By assisting in the design and production of presentations for capital providers.
* By supporting the placement and on-boarding processes of platforms.
* Assisting the drive to assess and store high quality Insurer data
Major Accountabilities
* To be responsible for providing a market perspective in the evaluation of potential.
* To support the on-boarding process, the design and production of the placement presentation.
* Set-up underwriting entities
* Build presentations, business plans
Knowledge, skills & experience required
* A good understanding of the evolving insurance market distribution dynamics and the consequences for participants in the value chain.
* Sound insurance knowledge across a broad range of marine and non-marine classes of business.
* Extensive experience and knowledge of the MGA market, working with producers and MGA's
* A good understanding of the market opportunity related to prospective opportunities.
