Team overview

Member of the team responsible for the oversight of the client money activities performed by the UK Transfer Agencies. The successful candidate's main area of focus will be to closely monitor our UK Transfer Agent's client money responsibilities, from daily oversight (Client Money Reconciliations) to monthly reporting (CMAR) to the FCA.

Role Responsibility

  • Oversight of daily reconciliations completed by our transfer agencies
  • Complete daily client money retrocession calculations
  • Review daily fund assets reconciliations
  • Review breach reporting for adherence with CASS regulations and challenge where required to enable breach closure
  • Completion of client money reporting information and Presentation of Client Money Asset return
  • Monthly analysis of Client Money Asset Return and as appropriate query exceptions
  • Manage and monitor the CASS audit deliverables from a transfer agency perspective
  • Ensure team mailbox is monitored and maintained for urgent Client Money issues.
  • Ensure collaboration with areas which link with the TA Financial Control Team.
  • Assist with the clearance of aged client money balances
  • Take an active part in the team offering ideas & suggestions to improve processes, ensuring that the team's objectives are met

Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge for CASS regulations
  • Ability to use Excel to expedite data analysis.
  • Knowledge of Transfer Agent systems, eg. FAST and AWD
  • General business awareness: Using business awareness to enhance the client money processes. Demonstrate this awareness and encourage others to learn more.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels, written and oral.
  • Process oriented & forward thinking who is willing to challenge the status quo where possible enhancements to process are identified.
