In your role as a Service Now Developer you'll be joining Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) which is a part of the Global Technology Engineering division of Deutsche Bank. The team is responsible for the architecture, design and development of tools used for Event, Capacity, Configuration Management and Workflow as well as Reporting and Visualisation.

The team is also responsible for the Service Now platform which is used by over 50,000 users globally for Incident, Problem and Knowledge management. Current projects include the migration of the global change management process and service request management onto this platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecting, engineering, configuring and supporting Service Now to automate internal Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes
  • Automating and simplifying ITIL processes
  • Participating in requirement review meetings
  • Performing impact analysis of changes to components
  • Performing estimations for functional stories as well as service requests
  • Participating in testing efforts (Unit, System, Performance)
  • Performing Level 3 support activities (troubleshooting, root cause analysis, investigation and resolution of incidents and support requests)
  • Writing technical documentation, including design documentation, training materials and white papers
  • Liaising with other Architects, Developers and Infrastructure Managers to ensure the platform meets all functional and non functional requirements
  • Ensuring quality IT delivery through the application of standards and technology design principles
  • Identifying and assessing risks, determining impact to platform and mitigation plans

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good experience of Service Now development
  • Experience of Service Now System Administration
  • Understanding of ITIL
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL
  • Excellent communications skills, experience of working with users in joint analysis and design sessions, written communication skills, both technical and non-technical and the ability to communicate technical concepts to end-users
  • Ability to quickly build relationships across multiple teams
  • High analytical capabilities
  • Ability to grasp new contexts
  • Used to working to tight deadlines and identifying problems at an early stage
  • Flexibility and willingness to work autonomously
  • Self-motivated
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with Pentaho ETL
  • Experience with Javascript
