Marketing Manager/Head of Marketing/Head of Marketing and Strategy/contract

My client has an exciting eight-month maternity cover assignment for the Head of Marketing Strategy & Planning, reporting to the VP of Consumer. In this role, you will work closely with all senior marketing leaders to ensure that EMEA Marketing - an energetic, diverse multicultural team based across multiple countries delivering marketing programs in more than 100 markets and 15 languages - progresses on time and on a budget to deliver results for the business.
Core responsibilities:
Work closely with the VP Consumer and EMEA marketing leads to continuously evaluate market challenges, priorities and plans, proposing alternatives to more effectively put the customer first.

Collaborate closely with counterparts in Finance, Market Research, and Marketing Analytics to generate insights leading to proposed efficiencies in resource allocation, marketing investment strategy and approach.

Drive planning for the marketing team, collaborating closely with the finance team on budget and target setting and with our regional teams to identify and mitigate risks and dependencies.
Define and implement a reporting and monitoring framework that will provide Marketing leadership with up to date view of performance of all live activities on an ongoing basis.

Produce regular reporting on key marketing performance metrics in collaboration with FP&A and Marketing Analytics. Follow progression monthly and deep dive into areas of interest.

Evaluate existing business processes and recommend improvements, refining these on an ongoing basis to ensure efficiency for marketers and compliance with relevant EU/Luxembourg regulations.

Lead special projects as required to develop and implement EMEA marketing strategy
Essential Requirements:

Education: BA or BS or equivalent required, MBA or equivalent preferred.

Experience: 10+ years experience gained in a position such as a Project Manager, Strategy Consultant, Management Consultant, Marketing Operations Manager, Sales or Marketing Planner, Financial Analyst, or similar.

Experience to have included strategic planning, project management, business analysis, process optimisation.
Skills & Abilities: results oriented; customer focused; commercially minded, analytically savvy; creative flair, team player; strong communicator/influencer; 

strong project manager;

a self-starter with a proactive and adaptable work style and an ability to get results in a lean, global and highly matrixed environment;

comfortable dealing with ambiguity by creating structure and prioritising effectively;

Natural planner and instinctively look both long term and short term;

thrive on spotting opportunities for improvement: through data analysis, process review and project retrospective.

Confident and collaborative approach with a clear communication style, working across multiple functions, teams and projects with often senior stakeholders.

Experience in or at least a strong understanding of the payments industry, digital marketing and fast moving, entrepreneurial companies.
