I am currently recruiting for my client, a large UK bank, for a Financial Crime Assistant Manager on a contract running until October 2017 and being based in their EDINBURGH offices.

The opportunity has arisen in the Commercial Banking division within the Fraud and Financial Crime area (Commercial Banking Control Function) to be part of the Investigations team. This team supports the Director Fraud & Financial Crime in the delivery of financial crime prevention activities relating to CB client relationships.

The role holder will be responsible for managing financial crime investigations:

  • ensuring consistency of investigation and transaction monitoring across the division
  • roll-out and embedding of the new financial crime investigations model across the division
  • acting as first point of contact for financial crime matters within commercial banking
  • ensuring AML/Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF) typologies identified (new/enhanced/revised) are shared as appropriate
  • review of policy, procedures and support implementation of new initiatives
  • coordination of training and awareness events and material
  • supporting the improvement and continuously reviewing the financial crime investigation process across Commercial Banking
  • undertaking and overseeing financial crime activities across the divisional footprint to maintain pan-CB oversight
  • overseeing and managing any relevant financial crime project work
  • briefing internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies and law enforcement

Requirements;

  • Procedural/Product/Specialist Knowledge - Excellent technical knowledge and experience of Financial Crime Policy.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills.
  • Oral and Written Communication - Excellent communication skills
  • Organisational Awareness - Knows how to get things done and gain commitment.
  • Stakeholder Management - Knows how to influence others to achieve objectives.

Rate - £360
