Job Description

Introduction

A role exists for a highly motivated, industry established, senior professional within the F&O and OTC Clearing Operations EMEA Management Team, who is looking to further expand an already successful career in the field of Futures & Options and OTC Clearing.

The department has a Market Operation which comprises of, Clearing, Deliveries, Regulatory/Exchange and Process Control, Strategy, Client Service and Documentation Teams. This structure is replicated regionally in Chicago and Singapore processing trading activity over 60+ Exchanges.

Role Description

  • The role will be reporting to the Chester based Control Manager for F&O and OTC Clearing.
  • Develop and evaluate existing group controls and ensure compliance with internal bank policies.
  • Validate client money regulatory documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor and analyse daily clearing and reconciliation activity and escalation.
  • Provide updates and escalate to management in a clear and timely fashion.
  • Coordinate procedural reviews and provide the interface between the F&O group and various auditing bodies.
  • Performance of RCA for the BAU activities performed across the Chester F&O Operation.
  • Oversight of the control framework with Teams performing Reconciliation, Delivery, Clearing and Client Service functions.
  • Partnering with Operational Risk and Operation Functions in order to enhance the Control environment.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrates leadership excellence, having led an organization in the past delivering superior tangible/quantifiable results.
  • Understand and adapt to regulatory and industry change (with EMIR, Trans Reporting, Client Money, MiFID working knowledge).
  • Proven track record of achieving results optimizing resources and driving efficiencies.
  • Excellent communication and the ability to manage relationships with peers and senior management.
  • Strength in identifying and implementing solutions for process improvement.
  • Strong comprehension of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience of Futures & Options is essential.
  • Additionally, knowledge of Client Money (CASS 7 and 10) regulations is beneficial.
  • GMI knowledge would be of significant benefit.
