I am representing a client who have a new Contract opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer, based in the North Scotland.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in Embedded Systems.
Essential skills and experience:
.Strong structured software development skills.
.Minimum 4 years professional experience of the full life cycle of Embedded systems eg using C and Case Tools.
.Proven ability to work in a small multifunctional project team (including mechanical, electronics, and qualification engineers).
Desirable skills and experience:
.Battery management systems.
.Lithium Ion cell management.
.Formal methods with focus on design documentation and verification.
.Software safety analysis.
.Standard communication protocols including SMBus, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, Modbus.
.Coding standards such as MISRA.
.Agile development methodologies.
.Application software development using Visual Studio.
.Understanding of electronics.
Excellent written, verbal communication and organisation skills are a pre-requisite.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. The rate will range from £35 - £45 depending on experience.
