Data Engineer (ETL/Datawarehousing) Contract 6 months. My client a leading name in their space is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Data Engineer (ETL/Datawarehousing) to join them on a contract for 6 months.
Candidates will get involved in Technical design and development of ETL processes for the ingestion/transformation and loading of data from different source systems. You design and develop of Data warehouse, considering end-to-end data integration processes and multi-dimensional Datamodelling. You will contribute to the logical/physical design and development of new/existing data marts. It will be expected that you contribute with the Technical Solution Architect and other Data Engineers in defining standards and frameworks to be applied for data integration and data warehouse development
Candidates will have hands on experience as an ETL/DWH developer with strong knowledge in designing, developing and delivering end-to-end data integration processes for large scale data warehouses. Successful candidates will also have Experience in design, development and deployment of data warehouses or relational/analytical/multi-dimensional data marts. You will have strong understanding of BI principles, architectures and cloud based BI solutions and will be expected that you have experience with enterprise scale ETL solutions such as IBM DataStage, SSIS, WhereScape RED. You will have advanced RDBMS experience particularly Oracle 10/11g and SQL Server 2008 R2/2012 including complex stored procedures, functions, query optimization, indexing strategy etc. It woud be seen as advantageous if you had exposure to DWH appliance platforms such as Teradata, Netezza, MS APS, and Programming experience; in particular with Python, Perl or SPARK,
