Core-Asset Consulting's clients, an international banking organisation, are looking for a Risk Analyst to join their team in Edinburgh for an initial contract of 6 months.
Core requirements:
- Post Graduate qualifications (quantitative MSc/PhD) in a relevant quantitative discipline is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience in an analytical role would be of distinct advantage.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial services and market conduct landscape is preferable.
- Knowledge of statistical, machine learning, signal processing techniques and appropriate working experience.
- Good knowledge of data management and manipulation is essential.
- Strong programming knowledge any 2 of the following: Matlab, SAS, Python is essential.
- Experience with visualisation software such as Qlikview, Spotfire or Tableau would be useful.
Core responsibilities:
- Participate in projects leading to solutions using various analytic techniques for the market conduct predictive analytics activities.
- Design of predictive analytics strategies and models, their prototyping and implementation.
- Data quality analysis, segmentation, threshold setting and tuning for surveillance monitoring.
- Trend analysis and dashboard creation based on visualisation techniques.
- Data implementation checks and data quality assurance.
- Development of model and data attestation frameworks.
- Development of bespoke solutions and tools to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of surveillance within regulatory compliance.
- Execute the assigned projects/analysis as per the agreed timelines and with accuracy and quality.
- Complete analysis as required and document results and formally present findings to management.
- Lead projects and initiatives including supervision and mentoring of team members.
