An exciting opportunity is available at ECDC in Stockholm for an IT Quality Expert.

Working under our contract with the European Centre of Disease Prevention and Control you will help our client accomplish their mission to strengthen Europe's defences against infectious diseases.

Description of main tasks:

  • Assess the current situation in ECDC, regarding software testing process and produce a report of the high level "as-is" situation (eg collect information on the existing testing practices, processes and existing testing tools and test data used)
  • Collect the needs of ECDC for software testing process reflecting the future organization - "to-be"
  • Present the summary of the "as-is" situation and "to-be" needs to ECDC stakeholders for validation
  • Propose an effective and efficient IT testing methodology, customized for the needs of ECDC in order to assure high quality level of IT products and services
  • Contribute to preparation of work instructions and internal procedures supporting implementation of the IT testing methodology in collaboration with ECDC team members
  • Prepare implementation plan of the IT testing methodology in collaboration with ECDC team members and stakeholders
  • Provide training and coaching on the defined IT testing methodology
  • Contribute to planning and monitoring the progress of the assignment

General competencies and skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of quality assurance and quality control
  • In-depth experience with quality procedures
  • Experience in training of CMMI principals to high level managers and experts
  • Experience in process definition and implementation related tasks related to organisation change (eg: Organisation of the testing, )
  • Strong capacity in preparing and writing studies
  • Strong capacity to give high level presentations
  • Ability to apply high quality standards
  • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, excellent communicator
  • Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment

Required proficiency in Information technologies:

  • Proficiency of testing methodologies and tools
  • Proficiency in COBIT, VAL-IT and CMMI
  • Good knowledge of information systems life cycle
  • Good knowledge in IT consulting matters
  • KnowledgeinProject Management tools (Microsoft Project)
  • Knowledge in Unified Modelling Language (UML)
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (eg SCRUM)
  • Ability to train/coachinCOBIT and VAL-IT Principles

Education and work Experience:

  • University degree with minimum 6 years of experience in IT OR non university degree with minimum 12 years of experience in IT
  • Minimum 4 years of IT professional experience
  • Strong experience in IT Quality Assurance and Quality Control
  • Hands on experience in IT Governance models and implementations
  • Proven work experience as COBIT, VAL-IT and CMMI expert, ideally certified
  • Proven experience with quality procedures (eg ISO 10006:2003)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality standards
  • Knowledge of testing standards (eg ISO 17015), methodologies and tools

The position is offered as a freelance contract. Applicant should be able to start in August.
