Description

Product Manager, regulatory, MIFID, sought by leading Tier 1 Investment Banking client based in Canary Wharf for an initial 6 month contract position.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

*Risk & Regulatory Projects - Keep abreast of regulatory framework, particularly within the European Union and Europe (AIFMD, MiFID II, PRIIPS). Become a primary member of regulatory working groups dealing with impending regulations impacting CPB's Global Managed Investments ("GMI") product suite.

*Platform Maintenance - Administer the general maintenance of the GMI platform, including updating key fund terms, working across operational groups to ensure correct fee billing, communicating operational changes, escalating to management when necessary and provide platform training where possible.

*Product On-boarding - Partner with Investment Manager Research Team to introduce new products onto the CPB platform. Coordinate end-to-end process of product on-boarding, manage commercial negotiations with external product partners and coordinate across internal functional groups to obtain relevant approvals for launch. Effectively manage global roll-out of new products to optimize the commercialisation of products across regions.

*Process Optimisation - Develop and manage process improvements to maximise platform efficiency, whether working within regulatory working groups or across different investment platforms to improve the operational efficiency of GMI.

Qualifications & Experience

*At least two years of experience of financials services, preferably in a product management-type role.

*Some regulatory work experience preferred (knowledge of MiFID II and/or PRIIPS would be ideal).

*Proven project leader, able to drive projects to tight deadlines and collate information across different regions and teams with the ability to work with senior colleagues across the bank.

*Ability and comfort working in a complex, global business across various geographies/cultures and business areas/groups/functions, with internal clients & external B2B clients.

*Self-starter with creative problem-solving skills. Ability to understand client and business driven goals.

*Clear concise communicator with the ability to impact and influence others.

*Ability to quickly assimilate information and ability to work on multiple assignments while keeping to tight deadlines.

*Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
