Contract/Commercial Manager- (Technical Requirements into Commercials/contract schedule/Framework)
We are looking for a Consultant with a background in Commercial/Contracts/Procurement management to deliver a project in Central Government focused on taking and translating complex, technical requirements into manageable, tangible and compliant Commercial and Contractual Schedules- the future commercial and contractual documentation will then be drawn up using the schedule/framework you create.
This isn't about being a technical SME,or being expert in any of the technical subjects, instead its about being a Commercial/Contract/Procurement consultant who is used to and experienced in translating the Specs and details from Technical requirements into real-life, solid, and robust commercials. (Actually challenging these ideas.)
This will be an initial 6- month assignment, based in Central London, offering up to £500 per day. The programme is likely to last 12 months.
Commercial//Contracts Schedules Writer will be responsible for reviewing technical specification and common schedules and contracts schedules to create a framework document. The role will be responsible for taking input from technical, Commercial and existing documentation and creating, reviewing and managing inputs and comments from across the procurement team.
The consultant will:
- Create updated documentation/schedules drawing from multiple inputs (mainly technical SME)
- Use broad experience to work across the procurement team to identify gaps, and challenge technical specs to produce compliant solid commercials (eg SLAs/KPIs, etc.)
- Challenge technical input- all toward the end aim of producing robust commercials that meet technical requirement, as well as compliance and are tangible.
- Responsible for redrafting as required, based on technical, legal, commercial and contract inputs, to deliver a rounded procurement document with in tight timescales and meeting project timescales.
Our commercial//Contracts Schedules Writer- Communications Technology needs to therefore have:
- Experience in translating complex technical requirements into commercials.
- Ideally have delivered the above in part in Communications technology, Mobile Communications or from within Communication Equipment Vendors.
- Experience of similar commercial and procurement roles within a large Public and or Private Sector Organisation with multiple projects and governance bodies.
- Working knowledge and ability to work within the HMT 5-case Business case structure is desirable/OJEU etc.
