I have an exciting opportunity for an experienced capacity manager with strong technical skills.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the capacity management process for the accountable it services in an operational state ensuring issues related to capacity are managed. On-going management of demand and capacity requirements reacting to issues identified during operation of the service. Also ensures that, as part of service introduction, new services are built to meet the business requirements
Key skills/requirements
- Seek capacity forecast information for accountable IT services.
- Review current capacity levels and provisions as appropriate to prevent capacity issues from occurring
- Record capacity demands/issues and actions in a capacity plan
- Identifies and manages the capacity requirements of new services
- Evaluate the impact of proposed changes on the capacity design and plan
- Acts as escalation point for capacity management issues in relation to the IT-Services for which they are responsible
- Ensures capacity requirements are met, delivering improvements to performance level within cost constraints
- Champion recommendations for tuning, and present the recommendations
- Champion recommendations for resolution to performance problems
- Recommends to management when to employ demand management techniques
- Provide feedback on the effectiveness and end-to-end capacity management
