Description

The Project Capability Organisation within Business Application Services (BAS) provides project leadership including Project/Programme management for the delivery of IT&S projects.

The Demand and Supply team in BAS manages a resource pool of over 250 internal project managers and 190 contractor staff. We work with demand owners to identify forward demand, agree resource requests and to work with the resource owners to identify resource options to meet the demand. The Demand and Supply Analyst role is focused on facilitating the demand and supply process.

We are looking for someone with previous experience of demand and supply resource management with an analytical background and excellent interpersonal skills. The role offers a great opportunity to gain experience within a global company and to begin to take on a level of responsibility whilst under experienced guidance of the Demand and Supply Manager.

Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Engagement: Set up regular meetings with key stakeholders to understand pipeline demand, collate and discuss demand requests and identify resource options.

Demand and Supply Process: Manage requests from demand owners for resource, matching demand with supply. Support the production of analysis data as input to the weekly demand and supply review meeting and monthly reporting. Carry out data reviews and provide reports on integrity levels.

Shaping Meeting Process: Analyse the project pipeline data and work with stakeholders to identify which projects require resource shaping meetings. Organise the shaping meetings, capture outputs and drive a consistent approach to forward resource planning.

Recruitment: Support the Demand and Supply Manager in the recruitment of resources, both internal and external. Prepare role definitions, place job advertisements, prepare interview guides. Support the contractor recruitment process.

Team Support: Assist in the administration of regular meetings to ensure these operate effectively

Previous experience of working in a resource demand and supply function.

Very good organisational skills

Articulate and confident communicator

Self starter

Good working knowledge of SharePoint, MS Office tools - Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, MS Project Online

Experience of working in a professional IT environment

Actively seeks out opportunities to improve processes and add more value.

Comfortable working within a global team and with Project Managers on a remote basis

Willing to take accountability for driving tasks through to completion

Able to work independently as a self starter or with minimal supervision
