Description

An exciting, long-term opportunity is available at the European Commission's Education and Culture Directorate General (DG EAC) in Brussels for an IT Business Analyst.
Directorate-General for Education and Culture is the executive branch of the European Union responsible for policy on education, culture, youth, languages, and sport.
Working under our contract with DG EAC you will join our team helping to improve Europe's competitiveness, boost its growth, create jobs, and tackle the main current and future societal challenges.
Tasks will include:

  • Analysis of Business Requirements, Business Cases, and Functional Requirements
  • Business Process Modelling
  • Analysis of Processes and Integration of IT systems
  • Coordination and Collaboration with the Project Teams, User Services and Development teams

We are searching for a candidate with the following profile:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience plus relevant Degree
  • Knowledge of wiki, collaborative sites and social networks
  • Minimum a total of 3 years of experience with the following:
    • business analysis tools (eg Aris, Sparx Enterprise Architect);
    • modelling tools (eg UML);
    • project management methodologies (eg Prince 2)
    • software development methodologies (eg Agile/Scrum, RUP)
  • Excellent English

The following would be advantageous:

  • Fluent French would be a plus

The successful candidate should be able to start ASAP. This position is offered as a long term freelance contract.
