Global Brand Manager - 6 months

Our client, one of the leading Consumer Health companies in the world is currently seeking for a Global Brand Manager for a 6 month role in Basel, Switzerland scheduled to start in August 2017.

As the Global Brand Manager you will be responsible to support and assist the GBD and initiating and leading selected international projects for Digestive Health. Being a key member of the Global Category Business Unit, the Global Brand Manager is a driving force behind the Digestive Health globally. The key business objective of the position is to ensure development and implementation of profitable business growth models, Marketing Excellence and strategic plans for the GI business.
Major tasks and responsibilities

Key member of the brand team and is expected to contribute to all aspects of strategic brand management:
  • Support the GBD in leading the Global Brand Team (GBT)
  • Definition and ownership of Global Brand Strategies

  • Conduct 3C analysis leveraging consumer segmentation, the growth behaviour and brand benefit edge, competitive understanding and BCC capabilities to answer the key strategic questions 'where to play' and 'how to win'
  • Supports to define the brand positioning based on thorough understanding of consumer insights
  • Supports to define the global brand communication strategy
  • Ensures alignment of regulatory and medical strategy to support implementation of brand strategy
  • Supports development of consumer centric innovation pipeline (consumer offerings and consumer engagement)

    • Develop compelling global advertising campaigns with partner markets

  • Collaborates effectively the global agencies (creative and media) to maximize creative output and business impact
  • Leads Consumer Connections Planning (CCP) process for Spark brands in GBT partner and Spark markets
  • Oversees and guides the creative development process (AB/ STB/ Final creative work) applying defined decision rights

    • Develop Global Pricing strategy
    • Develop compelling Brand Success Model (BSM) to maximize global reapplication
    • Responsibility for the maintenance and updating of the Intranet and Internet sites
    • Participation in research projects (writing briefs, country liaison, defining learnings and next steps, etc)
    • Participation in packaging development projects (particularly coordination and facilitation of roll

    Qualifications
    • Education: Marketing specialist
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in OTC, Rx or FMCG with track record of success
    • Required experience in country marketing operations and possibly in international, preferably global role. XY category experience is desirable.
    • Leadership qualities, ideally in cross functional and cross cultural teams, strong interpersonal skills
    • Analytical and financial management ability
    • Experience in sales analytics
    • Re-application experience
    • Innovation experience (R&D, Project Management)
