My client is looking for an SAS Risk Analyst to assist in the management of the production, validation and delivery of specialist provision reporting and commentary, to provide insight and understanding of problem debt and risk trends that ultimately help senior management and executives.
Contract Description:
Assisting in the management of the production, validation and delivery of specialist provision reporting and commentary, to provide insight and understanding of problem debt and risk trends that ultimately help senior management and executives.
- Carry out monthly calculations for impairments across the Business Banking and Corporate portfolios according to defined processes
- Report impairment and provision performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insight where appropriate for any variances
- Undertake quarterly provision adequacy assessments
- Undertake forecasting exercises on IFRS9 impairments and provision
- Optimise SAS and Excel provision processes
- Develop an IFRS9 provision requirement reporting process
- Provide expert support and advice to the business on subject matter.
- Work closely with other Risk and Finance teams to ensure good analytical outputs are transparent, well understood and provide a robust basis for strategic financial planning
- Maintain robust documentation related to forecasting and provision adequacy ensuring a full audit trail exists
- Undertake periodic reviews and enhancements to forecasting methodology and models
