Description
We are looking for our client, a financial institution located in London, for external support with skills and abilities as stated below:
Market Data Auditor (within area Market Data + Services) (f/m)
Task/Responsibilities Area
Conduct market data audits of end clients and market data vendors both remotely and on site using best practice guidelines.
Analysis of systems, processes and organisational units that are involved in the technical and administrative handling of market data
Detailed and exact data analysis including big data volumes
Written documentation of the Audit results or creation of an Audit Report
Research Clients to be audited collating all of the appropriate materials eg mergers and acquisitions/
timelines/structure etc
Liaise with clients to advise audit process, documentation required, timeframes for delivery
Attend client sites to perform on-site review of market data consumption including applications and systems, inventory/entitlement systems and completing full analysis
Produce Audit Report documenting results of analysis, findings and recommendations for future compliance/licensing
Mandatory skills & Software ewquirements and experience
Good knowledge of market data service, third party applications and entitlement systems eg MDM/Infomatch/FITS
Proficiency in Excel
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Demonstrate a high level of data manipulation, analytical skills
Effective communicator and able to manage difficult situations
Strong attention to detail
Ability to deliver high quality work within agreed timelines
Intermediate or preferably advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access and query building software application
Willingness to travel
Optional skills
Ideally at least three years of working experience and interaction with clients
Ideally, appropriate knowledge and experience within the financial services industry, particularly with knowledge of how market data is used in a trading environment
Preferably, familiarity with vendor, third party application providers' products and permissioning systems (DACS/Wombat)
Ideally, Awareness of third party market data inventory systems (Infomatch, MDM etc)
